Holograms of Harrison's Famous Time Piece 'H4'
The holographic recording of Harrison's fourth timepiece currently on display
at the Royal Observatory, National Maritime Museum Greenwich. Harrison's fourth
timekeeper and arguably the most important timekeeper ever made, this watch
finally solved the Longitude Problem and the beginning of accurate global positioning.
In recognition of his great achievement, in 1772 Parliament awarded Harrison £20,000 originally offered as the Longitude Prize in 1714.
